The online ecosystem in India is very promising. We have huge number of bloggers, affiliate marketers, consultants and online earners finding their foothold in the industry. Everyone, as a whole, is contributing to the growth of this ecosystem.
As you’ll probably agree, everyone who is working ‘online’ is usually putting in an isolated effort or even when we are connected online, we rarely move our lazy bums to network with people ‘offline’…good or bad, I don’t know but personally, it’s not a healthy trend.
As an important part of this growing industry, it is essential to grow together, share knowledge and be part of mentoring initiatives.
Such an initiative is taken by Danish Wadhwa, the founder of a promising Indian hosting company, GetSetLive. I will talk about GetSetLive a little later, let’s focus on what the event was all about.
From Ting to Tong and Ding to Dong – Learn Blogging #GetSetBlog
The event brought together a concentrated group of eager enthusiasts willing to learn blogging and its various elements. Some were complete novices, some intermediates and some experts. I even spoke to few who were into the core digital marketing sphere and wanted to start blogging as an extended arm to their online business.
Attendees started coming in as early as a 9 AM and it was a full house!
#GetSetBlog Event Sessions
Full kudos to Danish for inviting blogging specialists. They were:
1) Jitendra Vaswani
He is the blogger behind BloggersIdeas.com and runs multiple niche blogs. He spoke at length on his life as a blogger, his trials and tribulations and how blogging is helping him to lead a life he always wanted.
2) Danish Wadhwa
He is the founder of GetSetLive and he spoke about how to make money from blogging. The session was awesomely in-depth and specific. He discussed all the ways with which even a newbie blogger can earn money.
3) Chitraparna Sinha
…that’s me! This is my blog and business website. I spoke on what I know best, which is, content. Content isn’t just about your blog text. It is about images, the videos, even the words used in the email subscription form. Most bloggers miserably fail in this.
I spoke at length on how to handle blog content development, strategizing skills and audience engagement. Here’s the video. The first few minutes got missed but the rest is all there.
Kulwant is the founder of BloggingCage.com and a prolific affiliate marketers. I call him the ‘SEO Guru’ personally and the way people were flocking him to ask questions, it was hilarious.
Kulwant spoke on basic and advanced SEO relevant to blogging.
5) Ankur Aggarwal
Ankur is an email marketer who averages about 80,000 USD / month (phew!) and his talk was all about how bloggers can leverage the power of email subscribers to build a passive source of income because that’s something on which you have full ownership. He surely convinced me to take my email list seriously.

If you are serious about blogging, you should seriously visit these sites, networking with them and learn. Some of them also offer blogging and affiliate marketing courses.
